Browser targeting
Browser targeting is another site management innovation from Dreamweaver. One of the major steps in any
site development project is to test the Web pages in various browsers to look for inconsistencies and invalid
code. Dreamweaver??™s Browser Targeting function enables you to check your HTML against any existing
browser??™s profile. Dreamweaver includes predefined profiles for several browsers, and you can create a profile
for any browser you??™d like to check.
To learn how you can set up your own profile for Browser Targeting, see Chapter 30.
You can also preview your Web page in any number of browsers. Dreamweaver enables you to specify primary
and secondary browsers that can display your page at the press of a function key. You can install up to
18 other browsers for previewing your Web page. The entire list of browsers is available through the
Preview in Browser command in the File menu.
