Enable Double-Byte Inline Input option
Some computer representations of languages, primarily Asian languages, require more raw descriptive
power than others. The ideogram for snow, for example, is far more complex than a four-letter word. These
languages need twice the number of bytes per character and are known as double-byte languages. In versions
of Dreamweaver before 2, all double-byte characters had to go through a separate text-input window,
instead of directly into the Document window.
Dreamweaver now simplifies the page creation process for double-byte languages with the Enable Double-
Byte Inline Input option. If selected, this option enables double-byte characters to be entered directly into
the Document window. To use the old method of inserting such characters, deselect this option.
