2. If you do not have a transparent, single-pixel GIF image available, click Create. Dreamweaver
opens the Save Spacer Image File As dialog box.
3. Select a location within your site to store the spacer file. If you like, you can also rename the file
from spacer.gif to something else.
4. If a graphic on your site is using a transparent, single-pixel GIF image, click Browse to locate the
graphic. As noted earlier, Fireworks uses such a file, stored as spacer.gif. If you have
Fireworks-sliced images in your site, I recommend selecting spacer.gif as your Dreamweaver
spacer to reduce the number of redundant spacer files on the site.
The remaining options found under the Layout Mode category are concerned with the various colors used:
n Cell Outline: The color of the layout cell when it is selected; the default is bright blue.
n Table Outline: The color of the outline surrounding the entire table; the outline is initially set to
dark green.
n Table Background: The color of the layout table where no layout cell has been drawn; a light
gray is the default background color.
