Setting Your Preferences 4
FIGURE 4-19
The Edit Coloring Scheme dialog box provides a method to completely customize the way you view your raw page
code.
The left-hand Styles For box contains every type of tag you could ever want to color. Just select a tag type
and then click the color swatch to select one of the 216 colors displayed in the color picker. After the color
picker opens, you can also choose the small palette icon to select from the full range of colors available to
your system. The color picker also enables you to use the Eyedropper tool to pick a color from the
Document window.
As you change colors, you can see a preview of how your code looks in the Preview window.
Code Format preferences
Dreamweaver includes a fantastic tool for customizing your HTML with the easy-to-use, point-and-click
preferences category called Code Format. Most of your HTML code parameters can be controlled through
the Code Format category.
In the Code Format category, you can also decide whether to use indentations ??”and if so, whether to use
spaces or tabs and how many of each??”or to turn off indents for major elements such as tables and frames.
