Choose Site ??? Manage Sites.
2. In the Manage Sites dialog, click New and select Site from the submenu to open the Site
Definition dialog box.
3. Click the Basic tab of the Site Definition Wizard if it is not already selected. If a message appears
informing you that the root folder you have chosen is the same as another folder, ignore it, and
click OK to close the message box.
In the What Would You Like To Name Your Site? field, enter a name to identify your site within
Dreamweaver (refer to Figure 5-5). Choose a descriptive name; spaces are fine, for example,
mySite, my_site, My Site, and so on are all acceptable. To keep things nice and simple, I recommend
avoiding apostrophes, such as Joe??™s Site, joe??™s_site, and so on.
4. If you know it, enter the Web address of your site in the What Is The HTTP Address (URL) Of
Your Site? field. Be sure to enter the fully formed URL beginning with http://; click Next when
you??™re done.
5. Click Next to move to the second page of the wizard, Editing Files, Part 2. Select Yes to the
prompt Do You Want To Work With A Server Technology? Specify the server technology in the
Which Server Technology? drop-down list: ColdFusion, ASP, PHP, and so on.
