Remember: If you get confused or stuck, help is but a keypress (F1) or a mouse click (Help
button) away.
One option you might not be familiar with is: Do You Want To Enable Checking In And Checking
Out Files? Select Yes to ensure that different people cannot edit the same document at the same
time. Select No if this is not a concern.
The Check In/Check Out system is a version-control system that is only effective if all members
of the development team have the setting enabled. When someone has checked out a file
and you attempt to open it, Dreamweaver prompts you that the file is checked out. If someone on the team
doesn??™t have Check In/Check Out enabled, however, he or she doesn??™t receive such a prompt. That person
can open, edit, and upload the file, posing a potential version-control issue. See Chapter 31 to learn more
about Dreamweaver??™s Check In/Check Out feature.
8. When you have successfully worked through all your step 7 subpaths, the final Summary page of
the wizard appears. Review your selections, as listed in the Summary page; if necessary, use the
Back button to change them.
9. When all is well, click Done to create your site. An alert box informs you that Dreamweaver is
going to create a site cache, which makes various site operations faster.
