Setting Up Sites and Servers 5
In this Technique, you set up a site that is used throughout this book in the other Dreamweaver Techniques.
The process is simple, but essential.
1. If you haven??™t already transferred the Dreamweaver Technique files from the book??™s DVD to your

when the Properties dialog box opens, deselect the Read-Only option and click OK. When
asked to confirm the attribute changes, make sure that the option to apply changes to this
folder, subfolders, and files is selected.
n If you??™re in Macintosh, select the transferred folder in Finder and choose File ??? Get Info. When
the Info dialog box opens, deselect the Locked option under the General tab.
3. Choose Site ??? New Site.
4. In the Advanced tab of the Site Definition dialog box, enter Techniques in the Site Name field.
