6. If you selected Local/Network for access, enter the name of the remote folder in the Remote
Folder text box or click the folder icon to locate the folder. If you want to automatically update
the remote file list (recommended), select the Refresh Remote File List Automatically option. You
also have the option to automatically upload files to the remote server when saved locally (not
recommended) and to enable file check in and check out??”a valuable option when working on a
site with others.
Adding testing server details
The final primary element for defining sites using the Advanced tab is supplying the server application
information. One key aspect of Dreamweaver??™s power is its capability to create the same application for different
server models using different scripting languages. The Live Data Preview??”which enables designers
to work with data directly from the data source??”is another unique Dreamweaver feature. Settings in the
Testing Server category of the Site Definition dialog box control both of these features.
To set the Testing Server options, follow these steps:
1. Continuing in the Site Definition dialog box, choose the Testing Server category (see Figure 5-8).
