"Dreamweaver CS3 Bible"

Find and Replace operations can be applied to one or a series of documents. In addition to searching all or
part of the current document, you can also apply Find and Replace to all the files in a folder or an entire
site. Furthermore, individual files selected in the Files panel are also searchable.
Finding on the visual page
The most basic method of using Find and Replace takes place in the Document window. Whenever you
need to search for any text that can be seen by the public on your Web page??”whether it??™s to correct
spelling or change a name??”Dreamweaver makes it fast and simple.
The Find and Replace dialog box, unlike most of Dreamweaver??™s dialog boxes, is actually a nonmodal
window. This technical term just means that you can easily move back and forth between your Document
window and the Find and Replace dialog box without having to close the dialog box first, as you do with
the other Dreamweaver dialog boxes.
