11. If you are replacing text, enter the new text in the Replace With text field.
12. Select any options you want: Match Case, Ignore Whitespace Differences, or Use Regular
Expressions.
13. Choose your Find/Replace option: Find Next, Find All, Replace, or Replace All.
You can continue to add conditions by clicking the Add (+) button. In fact, I was able to add so
many conditions that the Find/Replace dialog box began to disappear off the screen (although
I wouldn??™t recommend this in practice). To quickly erase all conditions, change the Search option to Text or
Source Code and then change it back to Text (Advanced).
Replacing HTML tags and attributes
Imagine a new edict has come down from the HTML gurus of your company: No longer is the
tag to
be used to indicate emphasis; from now on, use only the tag. Oh, and by the way, change all the
existing pages??”all 3,000+ Web and intranet pages??”so that they??™re compliant. Dreamweaver makes short
work out of nightmare situations such as this by giving you the power to search and replace HTML tags and
their attributes.
But Dreamweaver doesn??™t stop there. Not only can you replace one tag with another; you can also perform
the following:
n Change or delete the tag (with or without its contents).
