Employing the Optimize Image command
Not all images are Web-ready??”especially those that are used in other media such as printing. To provide
the best online experience, Web graphics must balance appearance and file size. You want your images to
look as good as possible at the lowest possible file size because a small file is quicker to download. The
process of achieving the balance between the image quality and file size is called optimizing. You can optimize
your images without leaving Dreamweaver by running the Optimize command.
Unlike previous versions of Dreamweaver, you no longer need Fireworks installed to run the
Optimize feature. NEW FEATURE NEW FEATURE
