Using the Insert ??? Layout Objects ??? AP Div option
The second method for creating an AP element is to use the menus. Instead of selecting an object from the
Insert bar, choose Insert ??? Layout Objects ??? AP Div. Unlike the click-and-drag method, inserting an AP
element through the menu automatically creates an AP element in the upper-left corner; the default size is
200 pixels wide x 115 pixels high.
Although the AP element is by default positioned in the upper-left corner of the Document window, it
does not have any coordinates listed in the Property inspector. The position coordinates are added when
you drag the AP element into a new position. If you repeatedly add new AP elements through the menus
without moving them to new positions, each AP element stacks directly on top of the previous one, with
no offset.
It??™s important to assign a specific position (left and top) to every AP element. Otherwise, the
browser displays all AP elements directly on top of one another. To give an AP element measurements,
after you??™ve inserted it through the menu, be sure to drag the AP element, even slightly, or manually
type coordinates in the Property inspector.
Setting default characteristics of an AP element
You can designate the default size??”as well as other features??”of the inserted AP element with Insert ???
Layout Objects ??? AP Div.
