"Dreamweaver CS3 Bible"

Because of the complexity of
managing AP elements, Dreamweaver offers a tool in addition to the usual Property inspector: the AP
Elements panel. This tool enables you to select any of the AP elements on the current page quickly, change
AP element relationships, modify their visibility, and adjust their stacking order. You can also alter the visibility
and stacking order of a selected AP element in the Property inspector, along with many other attributes.
Before any modifications can be accomplished, however, you have to select the AP element.
Selecting an AP element
You can choose from several methods to select an AP element for alteration (see Figure 11-11). The selection
method you choose generally depends on the complexity of your page layout:
n When you have only a few AP elements that are not overlapping, just click the selection handle of
an AP element to select it.
n When you have AP elements placed in specific places in the HTML code (for example, an AP element
embedded in a table using relative positioning), click the AP Element icon.
n When you have many overlapping AP elements that are being addressed by one or more
JavaScript functions, use the AP Elements panel to choose an AP element by name.
n When you??™re working with invisible AP elements, click the
(or ) tag in the Tag
Selector to reveal the outline of the AP element.
