Adding Advanced Design Features Part III
Precise guide placement
Guides can be positioned precisely as well as by dragging. To set a guide??™s horizontal or vertical placement
to a specific value, follow these steps:
1. Double-click the guide you want to move.
2. When the Move Guide dialog box opens, enter the desired position in the Location field.
3. Select the measurement system (pixels, centimeters, inches, or percentages) from the list.
To use the percentage measurement, enter a value between 0.00 and 100.00; Dreamweaver will
reposition the guide according to the width or height of your Document window.
4. Click OK.
Editing guide settings
By default, the guides are colored a bright green and the distance indicators a dark blue. If these colors don??™t
contrast enough with your layout to be seen clearly, you can adjust the colors through the Edit Guides dialog
box.
