To precisely or visually move the Tracing Image to a specific location, choose View ??? Tracing Image ???
Adjust Position. Enter the x and y coordinates into their respective boxes in the Adjust Tracing Image
Position dialog box, as shown in Figure 11-22. For more hands-on positioning, use the arrow keys to nudge
the tracing AP element up, down, left, or right, one pixel at a time. Holding down the Shift key while pressing
the arrow keys moves the Tracing Image in 5-pixel increments. Finally, you can return the Tracing Image
to its default location of 9 pixels down from the top and 11 pixels in from the left by choosing View ???
Tracing Image ??? Reset Position.

Preventing overlaps
In order to place AP elements on your page that can later be converted to a table, the AP elements must not
overlap. Before you begin drawing out your AP elements, open the AP Elements panel??”either by choosing
Window ??? AP Elements or by pressing F2??”and put a checkmark in the Prevent Overlaps checkbox at the
top of the AP Elements panel. You can also choose Modify ??? Arrange ??? Prevent AP Element Overlaps to
toggle overlap protection on and off.
Activating AP Elements with Behaviors
Although absolute positioning is a major reason to use AP elements, you may have other motives for using
this capability.
