"Dreamweaver CS3 Bible"

A standard behavior, Set Text of Container, enables you to swap the entire contents of one AP element
for whatever you??™d like. You??™re not limited to exchanging just text, either. Anything you can put into
HTML, you can swap??”which is pretty much everything!

Adding Advanced Design Features Part III
This behavior is extremely useful for putting up context-sensitive help and other information. Rather than
construct a series of AP elements that you show and hide, a single AP element is used, and just the contents
change. To use Set Text of Container, follow these steps:
1. Insert and name your AP elements as desired.
2. Select the graphic, button, or text link you??™d like to act as the trigger for changing the content of
the AP element.
3. Choose Window ??? Behaviors or press Shift+F4 to open the Behaviors panel.
4. Choose Set Text ??? Set Text of Container from the Add (+) drop-down list. The Set Text of
Container dialog box (shown in Figure 11-24) shows a list of the available AP elements in the
current Web page and provides a space for the new content.

5. Select the AP element you want to alter from the Container drop-down list.
6. Enter the text or code in the New HTML text area.
