The outline color is controlled by the Mouse-Over option found
on the Highlighting category of the Preferences. Ctrl+click (Command+click) an outlined cell or table to
select it.
You don??™t need to be in Expanded Tables mode to see the table outlines. If the Mouse-Over
option is enabled, the outlines appear when you??™re in Standard mode when you hold down the
Ctrl (Command) key and move over the table.
Expanded Tables mode is best used on an as-needed basis, and you can quickly toggle between it and
Standard mode by pressing F6.
Selecting an entire table
Several methods are available for selecting the entire table, whether you??™re a menu- or mouse-oriented
designer. To select the table via a menu, do one of the following:
n With the cursor positioned in the tables, choose Modify ??? Table ??? Select Table.
n With any table row already selected, choose Edit ??? Select Parent Tag or use the keyboard shortcut,
Ctrl+[ (Command+[).
n Right-click (Control+click) inside a table to display the context menu and choose Table ???
Select Table.
To select an entire table with the mouse, use one of the following techniques:
n Click the bottom or right border of the table. You can also click anywhere along the table border
when the pointer becomes a four-sided arrow.
