To access this dialog box, click any single item in
your list, and on the Properties inspector, click the List Item button. You can change the shape of the bullet
for the entire list by selecting an option in the Style list; you change the bullet for just the selected item using
the New Style list. Notice that only the Bullet and Square are available in the List Properties dialog box; the
Circle option is not included.
A second method of changing the bullet symbol involves the time-tested solution of substituting a graphic
for the bullet. Just as it does with graphical horizontal rules, the Web offers a substantial clip art collection
of bullets. Using this method, you don??™t format your list as an unordered list at all; instead, you format your
text in plain paragraphs or tables and then insert a graphic for each bullet. You can, however, have the best
of both worlds by using CSS to change the bullet image, as described in the following section.
