The direction you choose in the last
part of the previous command (Left, Right, Up, or Down) indicates the frame in which the existing page
will be placed. For example, selecting Split Frame Right places the current page in the right frame.
You can clearly see the nested nature of the code in the following HTML fragment describing the frameset in
Figure 16-6:
Using the Mouse
When you use the menus to split a frame, only the currently selected frame is split. To create additional
columns or rows that span the entire Web page, use the mouse method instead. Select the specific frameset
to which you want to add rows or columns and then Alt+drag (Option+drag) any of the frame??™s borders that
span the entire page, such as one of the outer borders. Figure 16-7 shows a new row added along the bottom
of the previous frame structure.
