Adding Advanced Design Features Part III
Selecting, Saving, and Closing Framesets
After you??™ve initially created your frameset in Dreamweaver, you need to learn some basics before
modifying the frameset or individual frames. For example, it??™s very easy to select framesets or individual
frames if you know how. In addition, before changing your framesets, you must save your changes and
close the frameset files.
Selecting framesets and frames
To change or view the properties of a frameset or a specific frame, you first select the frameset or frame. You
can choose either the frameset itself or one of the frames within it from Design view or from the Frames panel.
The Frames panel shows an accurate representation of all the frames in your Web page. Open the Frames
panel by selecting Window ??? Frames or using the keyboard shortcut Shift+F2. As you can see on the right
in Figure 16-8, the Frames panel displays the names, if assigned, of the individual frames and (no name) if
none is assigned. Nested framesets are shown with a heavier border.
To select a frameset, click an outside border of the frameset in the Frames panel. You can also select a
frameset by clicking any border of the frameset in Design view.
