Closing framesets
There??™s no real trick to closing a Dreamweaver frameset: Just choose File ??? Close, as you would for any other
file. If you have made changes to any of the frames or to the frameset itself since the last time you??™ve saved,
Dreamweaver asks if you want to save your changes before it closes the files. When you are asked to save a
file, in Design view, a dotted black border appears around the frame or frameset that needs to be saved.

Using Frames and Framesets 16
This Technique uses one of the many ways in Dreamweaver to create a frameset from scratch and brings in
existing content for each of the frames.
1. Within the Dreamweaver Technique site, choose File ??? New.
2. When the New Document dialog box opens, select the Page From Sample category.
3. From the Sample Folder list, choose Framesets.
4. Select the Fixed Top, Fixed Bottom entry from the Framesets list; click OK when you??™re done.
Dreamweaver creates the new frameset; each of the frames has been automatically named for you.
5. In the Title field of the Document toolbar, type Relative Realty and press Enter (Return). It??™s best to
name the frameset when it??™s first created because the frameset is currently selected; novices often
make the mistake of applying a title to one of the frame pages rather than the frameset.
