"Dreamweaver CS3 Bible"

An individual required checkbox is often used to certify that the site
visitor has read and agrees to a statement, typically legal in nature like the terms of use. Multiple checkbox
validation comes into play when the application requires that the visitor select a number of options within a
certain range.
To insert a Spry Validation Checkbox widget, follow these steps:
1. Place your cursor where you??™d like your text field to appear.
2. From the Spry or Forms categories of the Insert bar, choose Spry Validation Checkbox.
3. If your Dreamweaver Preferences are set to display the accessibility attributes for form fields, the
Input Form Accessibility Attributes dialog is displayed; click OK after you??™ve completed the
appropriate fields.
4. If your cursor is not within a
tag, Dreamweaver asks if you??™d like to add one; click Yes.
5. From the Spry Checkbox Property inspector (Figure 18-20), choose whether you want to validate
a single checkbox or multiple checkboxes by selecting the Required or Enforce Range option,
respectively.

Single checkboxes can be required with the Spry Validation Checkbox widget.
6. If you want the form field to check the validation prior to submitting the form, select the Validate
On Blur or Change options.
