3. When the Spry Menu Bar dialog box opens, choose either Horizontal or Vertical to set the orientation
of your navigation bar; click OK. Dreamweaver inserts the initial navigation bar and displays
the custom Property inspector. The default horizontal menu bar is shown in Figure 18-22.

4. To change the label for any menu item, select it in the Property inspector and enter a new value in
the Text field. You can also modify the displayed text directly in Design view. To reveal other
menu items, select their entry in the Property inspector.

5. To create a link, select the menu item in the Property and enter the path in the Link field or use
the Browse folder to select the file.
6. To add a tooltip to a menu item, select it and enter the text for the tooltip in the Title field.
7. To specify a target for a menu item link, select the menu item and enter the target keyword or
name in the Target field. Standard keywords for targets include _blank, _parent, _top and
_self. You can also enter a frame name.
A great way to quickly modify your menu labels, links and structure in Design view is to select
the Turn Styles Off button in the Spry Menu Bar widget Property inspector.
