Adding Advanced Design Features Part III
Modifying the CSS of a Spry layout widget is somewhat more involved than changing a form widget??™s style,
but still is quite possible. The key is knowing which styles to adjust. One technique that works for me is to
select the text in the menu item you want to adjust and then open the CSS Styles panel in Current mode. If
the CSS property you want to modify is not found in the Summary panel, select the next tag to the left of
the current one in the Tag Selector. This action effectively walks up the DOM. Continue moving up the
DOM until you find the desired property in the CSS Styles panel and make your modification.
Spry Tabbed Panel
The Spry Tabbed Panels are a terrific way to pack a lot of content into a small amount of space. With a
tabbed panel, the site visitor sees a series of tabs when the page first loads, with one of the tab??™s content displayed;
a single click allows the user to switch to any other tab. The Spry Tabbed Panel widget is just as
easy to set up and customize as the previous widgets.
To add a Spry Tabbed Panel widget to your page, follow these steps:
1. Place your cursor where you??™d like your menu bar to appear.
