"Dreamweaver CS3 Bible"

One of Fireworks??™ main claims to fame
is that everything is editable all the time. If that were all that Fireworks did, the
program would already have earned a place on every Web designer??™s shelf just for
its sheer expediency. Fireworks has many other extraordinary graphic capabilities,
however, and Dreamweaver can tap that power directly.
Adobe??™s Dreamweaver and Fireworks products are tightly integrated. You can
optimize your images??”reduce the file size, crop the graphic, make colors
transparent??”within Dreamweaver using the Fireworks interface. Moreover,
you can edit an image in any fashion in Fireworks and, with one click of the
Done button, automatically export the graphic with its updated settings. Perhaps
most important of all, Dreamweaver can control Fireworks??”creating graphics
on-the-fly??”and then insert the results in Dreamweaver.
A key Fireworks feature is the capability to output HTML and JavaScript for easy
creation of rollovers, sliced images, and image maps with behaviors. You can
even opt to create pop-up menus with standards-compliant CSS. With
Fireworks, you can specify Dreamweaver-style code so that all your Web pages
are consistent. After Fireworks generates the HTML, Dreamweaver??™s Insert
Fireworks HTML object makes code insertion effortless.
