To copy a selection from Photoshop to Dreamweaver, follow these steps:
1. In Photoshop CS3, make your selection.
2. To copy the selection in the currently selected layer, choose Edit ??? Copy or press Ctrl+C
(Command+C); to copy all the layers contained within the selection, choose Edit ??? Copy Merged
(see Figure 24-3).

Use Photoshop??™s Copy Merged commands to get all the layers within a selection.
You??™re not limited to copies of simple selections or merged layers: you can also copy slices. In
Photoshop, after you??™ve made your slices with the Slice Tool, use the Slice Select tool to
choose them. Then copy the selected slice with either the menu or keyboard shortcut.
3. In Dreamweaver, place your cursor where you??™d like the image to appear.
4. Choose Edit ??? Paste or press Ctrl+V (Command+V). The Image Preview dialog box opens, with
the copied image displayed.
5. In the Options tab, choose the desired Web format from the Format list.
6. Choose your settings for the selected format.
7. When you??™re done, click OK. The Save Web Image dialog box is displayed.
8. In the Save Web Image dialog box, navigate to the location within your site to store your image
and enter a new filename.
