Although Bridge displays files, it is far more than an Adobe-built replacement for Windows Explorer on the
PC or the Finder on the Mac. With Bridge, you can apply keywords, labels, and ratings to any image or file.
Furthermore, Bridge offers powerful sorting capabilities that can filter the displayed thumbnails by date, file
type, and keyword. These two key features easily work together. You could, for example, set up a keyword
using a client??™s name and apply that keyword to a set of assets. Then, to locate all the JPEG images associated
with the client??™s keyword with a rating of 3??“5 stars, it would take just a few clicks of the mouse.
Dreamweaver offers two methods of launching Bridge. From the menus, choose File ??? Browse in Bridge to
open the program or, from the Standard toolbar, click the Browse in Bridge button (see Figure 24-17).
Naturally, there is a keyboard shortcut as well: Ctrl+Alt+O (Command+Option+O).

Launch Bridge right from within Dreamweaver by using the menu, toolbar, or keyboard shortcut.
Once you??™ve located your assets, it??™s easy to bring them into Dreamweaver. Perhaps the simplest method is
to just drag them from Bridge and drop them into Dreamweaver. Bridge has a Compact mode that reduces
its window to a quarter size and places it in the bottom left of the screen, always on top (see Figure 24-18).
