Use the Target Browsers dialog box to choose the minimum browser versions that you want
to work correctly with your pages.
To modify the current settings, follow these steps:
1. Choose Settings from the Browser Compatibility Check menu.
2. In the displayed Target Browsers dialog box, select the browsers you want to verify your pages
against.
3. For each selected browser, choose the minimum version for testing from the drop-down list.
4. When you??™re finished, click OK.
Excluding page elements from error checking
Dreamweaver includes built-in syntax rules for each browser, which, generally, are applied to each file
checked. However, you have the option to exclude specific tags, attributes, or attribute values from the testing
process. This feature is extremely useful when your designs must include an element unsupported by
one or more browsers and you don??™t want to be reminded of the issue each time the page is checked. The
list of excluded elements is contained in the Exceptions.xml file maintained in the
Configuration/BrowserProfiles folder. Dreamweaver gives you quick access to modifying this file when you
open the Browser Check menu and choose Edit Ignored Error List.
