Styles and Fonts
Much of the specific look of a page??”and the underlying code that generates that look??”is controlled by
the Styles and Fonts category of the Edit Role Settings dialog (see Figure 31-20). Overall, the administrator
can allow or disallow users the capability to apply new styles and/or new fonts and text sizes to text. If these
options are disabled, the user can only work with styles in existing paragraphs. If the options are enabled,
the administrator has the further choice of preferring CSS over HTML.
Keep the Allow Users To Apply Styles option enabled if you want Contribute to display the Style dropdown
list when editing pages; if this option is disabled, new paragraphs inherit the style of the previous
paragraph. Choose the Include HTML Heading Styles In The Style Menu to display Heading 1 through
Heading 6 and Paragraph styles in the drop-down list. If the Include CSS Styles In The Style Menu option is
checked, Contribute automatically lists all the available styles. Which styles are available is determined by
two further options: Show All CSS Styles and Show Only Styles Included In This CSS File. If the latter
option is selected, the administrator should select a relevant CSS file that includes CSS classes to be made
available to the Contribute user.
