"Dreamweaver CS3 Bible"

Dreamweaver remembers the last Insert bar category chosen from session
to session, which means that if you want, Favorites can always be immediately available.
Reorganizing objects and adding categories
Dreamweaver organizes the Insert bar based in a file called insertbar.xml located in the Objects folder
of the Dreamweaver configuration folder. This XML file contains all the tab and object information for each

category of the Insert bar. To rearrange or create new categories, you have to manually edit the file.
Dreamweaver picks up and shows all the objects inside a category??™s folder, so you don??™t need to manually
add new objects to the insertbar.xml file.
You??™re not limited to the default categories on the Insert bar. If you want to add another category, simply
add a new subfolder and the necessary entries to the insertbar.xml file (which is covered next). For
example, I??™ve developed a number of custom objects for inserting sound and digital video files, and I
wanted to group them on a new category of the Insert bar. In my file-management program, I created a
folder called Media within the Dreamweaver 9\Configuration\Objects folder and moved all my special
object files into this new folder. After editing the insertbar.
